The Lhtako Quesnel 2024 BC Winter Games are coming up on February 22 to 25, 2024! BC Games are different and separate from Special Olympics BC Games, and they are a valuable external competition opportunity. They bring together British Columbia’s best young high-performance athletes for four days of competition. Participating Special Olympics athletes form part of Regional teams alongside these young athletes, and they compete in their own Special Olympics divisions.
For the 2024 BC Winter Games, Special Olympics BC will send athletes and coaches in figure skating, speed skating, and – for the first time – cross country skiing! This is a great opportunity to gain Games experience outside of SOBC competitions, and showcase our amazing athlete talent alongside high-performance athletes, coaches, and officials from across the province.
Coach applications
SOBC figure skating, speed skating, and cross country skiing coaches are invited to apply now to be part of the 2024 BC Winter Games!

Athlete applications
Athlete applications will open soon! Coaches will be asked to apply on behalf of their interested athletes. Athletes can apply even if their coach is not applying, but their coach needs to support the application.
