Special Olympics PEI has received a $1,000 donation from the PEI Union of Public Sector Employees (UPSE) through the UPSE Has a Heart Campaign.
UPSE has been a longtime supporter of Special Olympics PEI. In addition to their financial support, UPSE and it's members have shown a deeper connection to the Special Olympics movement and our athletes. Beyond the formal request for funding each year, members of the UPSE Has a Heart committee spend time asking after athletes they have met over the years, and being genuinely interested in their accomplishments and wellbeing.
This year's donation will help support the return to competition for our athletes. As restrictions ease, and our athletes are once again able to compete in the sports they love, these funds will support the upcoming Provincial Games Booster Club.
