Provincial Games

Providing quality competitive opportunities for Island athletes

Provincial Games are held every two years, with the exception of 5-Pin bowling which is offered every year, and alternate between Summer and Winter. Games are either held on-Island, or in Nova Scotia or New Brunswick Provincial Games serve as a qualifier for advancement to National Games.

COVID-19 Update

Due to COVID-19 restrictions the 2020 Provincial Summer Games were cancelled. Sharing in the disappointment of our athletes and coaches, who look forward to competitive opportunities and the chance to showcase their abilities, Special Olympics PEI has had a strong focus on a safe Return to Play, and eventual Return to Competition, plan. In the meantime, athletes have been encouraged to take advantage of virtual opportunities, including the Wellness Champion program.
