A proud Special Olympics BC sponsor for more than 10 years, TD has generously contributed more than $200,000 to support SOBC’s sport and fundraising events!
TD has supported the Sports Celebrities Festival presented by Wheaton Precious Metals for many years, and been a Gold Sponsor since 2019. The annual gala brings together B.C. sports heroes, Special Olympics athletes, and champions of inclusion to raise much-needed funds for SOBC’s passionate athletes and life-changing sport programs for people with intellectual disabilities.
With the help of TD and the valued SCF sponsors and supporters, the 2022 Sports Celebrities Festival raised over $550,000 for Special Olympics and the Canucks for Kids Fund!
TD also played an important role in bringing Special Olympics BC Games back in person, serving as the Bronze Sponsor of the 2023 Special Olympics BC Winter Games presented by Prospera Credit Union. In Kamloops, more than 500 athletes from around B.C. competed with pride and reconnected with friends in SOBC’s first Provincial Games in four years. Athletes were thrilled to be back showing their skills on the provincial stage!
