Special Olympics Family Health Forums provide families and caregivers with direct access to health information to support them and help enrich the lives of athletes.
Special Olympics British Columbia is presenting this Virtual Family Health Forum in order to offer mental wellness information and support to all the valued family members, caregivers, and supporters of athletes across the province.
The forum will be facilitated by Bailey Macklem, SOBC Sport Coordinator – Health, and Kimberly Rutledge. Kimberly is a scientist, mental wellness advocate, Special Olympics BC volunteer, and sister and BFF of SOBC – Kelowna athlete Kassidy. Throughout the pandemic, Kim led wonderful health education sessions for the SOBC community. She also co-created the My Mental Wellness Workbook to support SOBC athletes and coaches.
