When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?    

SEVEN YEARS WITH SPECIAL OLYMPICS - I USED TO OWN THE BOWLING ALLEY IN DAWSON CREEK AND HOSTED THE ATHLETES FOR MANY YEARS.

Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games were you part of and in what role(s)?  

TEAM BC HEAD COACH FOR 5-PIN BOWLING AT THE 2018 NATIONAL BOWLING CHAMPIONSHIPS IN P.E.I. 

What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2020?    

IT IS AN HONOUR AND A PRIVILEGE TO BE SELECTED TO COACH AN AMAZING GROUP OF ATHLETES AND TO BE PART OF THEIR SUCCESSES.

What is/are your goal(s) for these National Games?

ASSIST IN PREPARING THE ATHLETES TO BE AT THEIR BEST COME COMPETITION TIME.

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?

IN P.E.I. OUR TEAM FROM DAWSON CREEK HAD A DINNER WHERE EVERYONE HAD TO TRY A NEW FOOD AND THEY ALL DID! IT WAS THE FIRST TIME ON THE TRIP THEY ALL WERE LAUGHING AND SMILING DUE TO THE STRESS OF THE GAMES.

What does competing at National Games mean to your athletes? (or, if this is your first National Games, competition in general)

A GREAT SENSE OF PERSONAL AND TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENT!

What storylines are you excited to see develop in your Team BC sport team leading up to the National Games?     

THAT ALL THE HARD WORK, PRACTICES, WORKOUTS, TRAVEL WILL BE AT ITS PEAK AT THE GAMES, AND THAT THEIR PERSONAL BESTS AND EXPECTATIONS OF THEMSELVES ARE MET.

What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved? 

THESE ATHLETES WILL SURPRISE YOU! THEY ARE HARD-WORKING, DEDICATED, AND TEAM-ORIENTED INDIVIDUALS WITH BIG GOALS AND BIG HEARTS!
