The NCCP Special Olympics Competition Sport Workshop helps equip coaches to empower athletes with intellectual disabilities. Topics in this workshop cover associated disabilities, basic delivery of sport skills, sport-specific and competition-based fitness, competition, and safety.
All coaches are required to complete this workshop within their first year of coaching Special Olympics, except forĀ Active StartĀ andĀ FUNdamentalsĀ coaches.
This is an in-person workshop on April 29 and April 30, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on both days.
It is important to note that attendeesĀ must attend all daysĀ of the course. They are not able to attend day one on one date and day two a few months later. They must be consecutive days with the same course conductor(s).
SOBC will invoice Locals $65.00 per participant for this course.
