When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

1997

Will these be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

Swimming, every Nationals since 1997 and every Nationals to 2016 for alpine skiing, and have now transferred to cross country skiing. 

What were your results in the 2019 Special Olympics BC Winter Games? How did you feel about your performance?

I got two silvers and a gold and I felt really great about it. 

What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2020?

I feel really good as this will be my first Nationals for cross country skiing.

What is your goal for these National Games?

Go faster, be more fit, be a good teammate, and have fun.

What does competing at National Games mean to you?

It is important to be able to compete at Nationals for cross country skiing.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

Working out with Tracey, who is better and older than me. 

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?

Meeting Michael Phelps at the 2015 World Summer Games in LA. 

What would you tell someone about Special Olympics to encourage them to get involved?

It keeps you fit. 

What other Special Olympics sports do you participate in?

Softball, swimming, and Club Fit. I used to do alpine skiing as well.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I live independently with my brother Ben. I am friendly, happy, a good teammate, and I'm also competitive. 

What is one word you would use to describe yourself? :)

My mom says I'm kind.
