When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

I started with Special Olympics in 2006. I was involved in downhill skiing and bowling.

Will these be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

No, I went to Corner Brook in 2016 for cross country skiing.

What were your results in the 2019 Special Olympics BC Winter Games? How did you feel about your performance?

I got two gold medals and a silver. I felt pretty good but I know I can do better.

What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2020?

I'm happy that I made the team to represent B.C. for a second time.

What is your goal for these National Games?

To have fun, and do my best, maybe get a medal or two.

What does competing at National Games mean to you?

I get to travel to new places and I get to put all my training to use.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

Going fast on the snow with my double poling, skiing with control.

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?

Competing at the 2017 World Games in Austria, winning a silver and bronze, and meeting former Canadian Olympians.

What would you tell someone about Special Olympics to encourage them to get involved?

It's fun, you can make new friends, you can travel, and you get to stay in shape.

What other Special Olympics sports do you participate in?

Golf and Club Fit.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I work at the Vernon Superstore. I have a good sense of humour, I'm easy going and easy to talk to. I like playing chess, watching movies, and hanging out with my girlfriend.

What is one word you would use to describe yourself? :)

Hardworking.
