When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

I joined in 2011 after I was invited to participate by coach Mel Palfy.  

Will these be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

Yes. 

What were your results in the 2019 Special Olympics BC Winter Games? How did you feel about your performance?

We won the team gold. We performed excellent in the finals when it mattered. 

What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2020?

I am honoured, excited and can't wait to make new friends and new memories! I want to do my best at representing our province.

What is your goal for these National Games?

I want to bowl my best, beat my average, have fun and win the gold! 

What does competing at National Games mean to you?

I am very proud to represent Team BC and I am excited to travel!

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

I like making friends, having fun, being part of a team and relieving stress.

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?

I was chosen to carry the Region 8 flag for the Opening Ceremony at the 2019 SOBC Winter Games in Vernon.

What would you tell someone about Special Olympics to encourage them to get involved?

Come out and give it a try. You will love it!

What other Special Olympics sports do you participate in?

Club Fit. 

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I was born and raised on a cattle farm. I love quilting, stuffed toys and reading.
