LETR Gala and Truck Convoy 2017

Two awesome Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) events are happening in southern Alberta and we don’t want you to miss out in the fun!

LETR Black Tie Gala

LETR in Lethbridge are hosting their first Black Tie Gala on Friday, September 15 at the Coast Hotel & Conference Centre. 

“This is the first year we’ll be holding a Black Tie Gala,” said Cst. Braylon Hyggen with the Lethbridge Police.

“We hope to get as many as 400 guests to come out in their finest with Lethbridge’s finest all to support some amazing athletes who show us every day what courage, determination and inspiration looks like.”

The Black Tie Gala will have law enforcement members from the Lethbridge Police, Alberta Sheriffs, Lethbridge Corrections, Taber Police and Blood Tribe Police in attendance. Gala guests will also have an exclusive chance to win a trip for two to see Billy Joel in New York City. For more details on the event, go to www.albertatorchrun.ca.

World’s Largest Truck Convoy

The World’s Largest Truck Convoy for Special Olympics is an annual event which unites law enforcement and truckers to raise funds for Special Olympics athletes. 2017 marks the 16th anniversary of the inception of the event. Since it began in 2001, more than 15,000 trucks – big rigs to dump trucks – have traversed more than 8,000 km.

We want you to be part of the convoy!

Join us on September 16 and register your vehicle to be part of a convoy for inclusion, courage and joy.  The start of the convoy will be at Rosenau Terminal at 234180 Wrangler Rd SE in Rocky View. Entertainment will include the H&R Miniature Tractor Trailer, face painting and live performance by country singer Mary Ann Oxtoby.
