What is NCCP and what is this course about?
This course is a Special Olympics Canada and Coaches Association of Canada workshop designed to train coaches working with Special Olympics athletes in order to prepare them for practices, competitions and travel.  Course content includes modules on: Planning practices, Risk management, Disabilities, Analyzing the Athletes, Supporting the athletes at competition and Long Term Athlete Development.

This course is a supplement to sport specific NCCP courses and is required for any coach attending Provincial, National and World Games with Special Olympic athletes.

Why take this course?
Special Olympics strongly recommends that all volunteers and coaches within our programs take this workshop as provides coaches with specific training that is tailored to Special Olympics athletes. All coaches who are planning to attend local, provincial or national levels of competition are required to take this course.
