Greg

Greg Donaldson

I started to Snowshoe for exercise and fun several years ago. Then my coach took some timings and I became a Special O athlete.  I participate in the winter in cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. I do Bocce Ball in the summer.

This is my second time at the National Winter Games. My path back to the games went through Regina for Provincials. I feel proud to snowshoe wearing the Saskatchewan colours.  Thanks to all my coaches for getting me to Nationals again. I am very excited to be flying with the team to Thunder Bay. I am looking forward to things in Thunder Bay like the opening ceremonies, making new friends and the dance.  Special Olympic has given me a chance to be a team member. My training is hard and I want to try my best in Thunder bay. I will cheer on my teammates. I am looking forward to Thunder Bay.

Thanks to all my fans and family for cheering me on at my competition. A special  fan, my Grandma will be in my heart this time and thank you for making all the red toques.

I am a member of the Team Sask Snowshoe team. I started competing in Special Olympics snowshoeing two years ago. I also have participated in Athletics, swimming, and softball.

I love being a part of Special Olympics because I get to meet people from other places and I enjoy travelling to attend competitions. I also competed in Athletics at the Western Canada Summer Games in 2019, where I won three medals!

I look forward to going to Thunder Bay to be a part of the 2020 Canada Games.  I hope to have a lot of fun with the other athletes in Thunder Bay, try my best and hopefully bring home a medal for Team Sask!
