In celebration of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II marking the 70th anniversary of Her Accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada, a commemorative medal was awarded by the Government of Saskatchewan. The Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal recognizes outstanding Saskatchewan citizens who have built and continue to build a strong, vibrant society and province through their service, contributions and achievements.
On December 13th and 14th, 2022, Regina held the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal Ceremony. Of the medals awarded, Special Olympics Regina athlete Dylan Morin was one of the recipients! Dylan has been an athlete since 2011, participating in several different sports. Currently, he is in Bocce, Bowling and Athletics. Nominated by MLA Nicole Sauer for his political activism and role within the community, Dylan continues to work towards creating an inclusive space for all.
