in your Community

Participate or Volunteer in your Community.

Whatever your age or skill level, Special Olympics has something for you. It's an opportunity to participate in sport, learn new skills, make new friends and join a fun community. Many athletes start in one sport, then go on to try others.

You can take part in summer and winter sport programs at a level that suits your individual needs. Participate in year-round recreational community sport or follow a competition pathway that includes Local, Regional, Provincial/Territorial, National or even World Games.

Our volunteers are all ages, and their commitments can range from an afternoon to a lifetime. From coaching to scorekeeping to registration - there's a role for you. If you haven't engaged with individuals with an intellectual disability before, don't worry, we'll train you.

Special Olympics is about transforming lives, including your own. It’s about a spirit of teamwork and inclusion. It's about making your community a more welcoming and accepting place for people of all abilities.

Or Donate.

Your contribution, no matter the size, will aid us in ensuring that the thousands of children, youth and adults with an intellectual disability who use our programs are able to continue to do so.
