Special Olympics Canada has identified specific outcomes that require additional knowledge, skills, and abilities that are relevant to coaching Special Olympics athletes in a competitive stream. The intent is to prepare the coach to meet the specific needs of the Special Olympics athlete. The coaches will be required to demonstrate their abilities in the training (SOC Competition Introduction Workshop).

This is a required course for all Special Olympics Coaches.
