Special Olympics NWT wrapped the 2021-2022 sport season with a year end barbecue at Fred Henne Territorial Park on June 14th! Volunteers and board members Cappy Elkin, Larry Elkin and Peggy Moorhouse were acknowledged for their long time service with Special Olympics NWT over the past 15 years. Larry has been the unofficial, official photographer for many years capturing our athletes and volunteers in action. Cappy has been the driving force since the early years of Special Olympics NWT serving on the board of directors in addition to a long standing volunteer as the Sport Coordinator. Peggy has worn many hats with the organization as a parent representative on the board of directors and bowling coach.
