Meet the Special Olympics Team BC 2024 5-pin bowling teams

5-pin bowling athletes of the Special Olympics Team BC 2024 Training Squad are gearing up to roll over the competition at the National Games!  

B.C. will be well-represented in 5-pin bowling at the National Games, as seven teams will be ready to compete with pride in Calgary:

• Chilliwack
• Cowichan Valley Strikers
• Dawson Creek Headpins
• Delta
• Port Alberni Grizzlies
• South Okanagan Brats
• Vancouver Strike Force

Thirty-five total athletes make up the seven teams, accompanied by 14 experienced coaches. Each team has been practicing hard over the past nine months, sticking to their training plans and their routines.

SOBC – Vancouver coach Jennifer Knoll is excited to “share with the other athletes the experience to represent SO Team BC, the travel they are going to experience, and the friendships they are going to make while on this amazing trip of their lives.”

“I am excited to see how much fun all of the athletes are going to have with this amazing opportunity to go out and show how good they are at their sport,” she says.
