Special Olympics PEI, Kevin Stonefield, Board of Directors

Special Olympics PEI is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. This group of dedicated Islanders dedicate their time and talents to enriching the lives of Islanders with an intellectual disability through their volunteer service on our Board.

Meet Kevin Stonefield

Kevin Stonefield joined Special Olympics PEI's Board of Directors in 2005. Kevin is one of our Board's longest serving members, having been a Director for 16 years. Kevin is a retired School Administrator, having worked for the Public School Branch for 33 years. In addition to his role on the Board, Kevin has also been involved with the Montague Community Sport program.

Kevin joined the Special Olympics PEI Board "as a natural progression as I worked closely with students with intellectual disabilities in the work place" he says.

Kevin's favourite Special Olympics moment is actually all of the little moments, saying he enjoys "interaction with the athletes. Whether it’s at a sporting event, or fundraiser, having the opportunity to converse and get to know the athletes."
