Biography:

Shelby is 26 years old and has been with Special Olympics for 12 years. Her family is also involved. Dylan Degeer is an athlete. Wendi Best is the Brampton Community Coordinator and Coach/Team Manager. Shelby says that the passion Special Olympics athletes have is magical and life changing. She states that her involvement has made her a better person, taught her patience and resilience, and she couldn’t be prouder to see how hard the athletes have worked to make it to the world stage. Shelby is a single mother from Georgetown, ON and her favourite thing to do is to spend time with her daughter.
