Biography

Peter Hynes is 15-years-old and has been a Special Olympics athlete for the past three years. From Placentia, NL, Peter won medals at both the Provincial and National Games. Peter’s sports include athletics, soccer, basketball, bocce, and swimming. Peter’s father, Red Hynes is also a coach and volunteer with Special Olympics. Peter says Special Olympics has helped him to run faster, jump farther, and throw longer. His first World Games, Peter is looking forward to meeting new people, travelling to a new country and having lots of fun. Peter’s hobbies include shooting hoops, watching TV comedies, baking, and preparing coffee for his parents.
