Paul has been a Special Olympics athlete for 22 years. The 41-year-old Timmins native has won medals in Regional Games every year, National Games every four years since 2002 and at the World Games in Ireland in 2003 and Los Angeles in 2015. Paul’s Father coaches both Powerlifting and Nordic Skiing. Paul says Special Olympics helped give him confidence, allowed him to meet new friends and have opportunities to help others with their training. His goal for the 2019 World Games is to beat his personal best and set a record in his weight class. Paul lives independently in his own apartment and does construction and yard work.
