35-year-old Neil from St. John’s, NL says it is always an honour and privilege to be chosen as Medical Support for Special Olympics athletes and teams. He was with Team Canada at the Special Olympics World Winter Games, PyeongChang 2013, the Special Olympics World Summer Games, Los Angeles 2015 and the Special Olympics World Winter Games, Austria 2017. His involvement with Special Olympics has taught him much in terms of patience, communication, problem solving and celebrating the small victories in life. Neil’s goals for the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Abu Dhabi are to enable and empower the athletes and coaches to be as healthy and happy as possible for their competitions. Neil enjoys hiking, biking, camping and travelling.
