Biography:

Mark Mengersen, from Olds, AB, has been an active Special Olympics athlete for 22 years. Mark was 12 when he first became involved and his sports include 10- and five-pin bowling, swimming, softball, floor hockey, basketball, rhythmic gymnastics, soccer and snowshoeing.  He’s won seven medals in Regional and National Games. His goal for his first World Games is to achieve a new personal best and bring home Gold. Mark’s Mother, Karen Mengersen, is the Olds Affiliate Chairperson for Special Olympics and coaches a variety of sports.
