Biography:

Kristy Alford is a 20-year-old athlete from Innisfil, ON and has been involved with Special Olympics for seven years. Her favourite sports are track and field, soccer, snowshoeing, bowling, hockey and floor hockey. She won five Gold and one Silver at Provincial Games, three Gold and one Silver at National Games, and two Gold at the Canada Summer Games. She is looking forward to proving herself as a world-class athlete at the Special Olympics World Summer Games. Kristy says that Special Olympics has helped her not to be shy to run in front of a crowd, to travel and meet lots of friends.
