Biography:

Crystal Cochrane from Peterborough, ON has been involved with Special Olympics for nine years. 10-pin bowling is her favourite sport. She also plays five-pin bowling, floor hockey, track and field, soccer, baseball and swimming. She has won Gold and Silver at Regional and National Games. This will be her first World Games. Crystal says Special Olympics has built her confidence, helped her build new skills and meet new friends. Crystal used to help out on a floor hockey team with a girl in a wheelchair, something she never would have done before her involvement with Special Olympics. Crystal now works in career training at Wendy’s and volunteers at a Breakfast Club for a local elementary school.
