Biography: 

Annick, 22 years old from Mississauga, says her biggest challenges were surviving cancer, re-learning to walk and regaining her balance. An athlete for the past 11 years, she credits Special Olympics with helping her to improve her health and confidence, make new friends, and develop leadership and public speaking skills. Annick’s mother is a coach for Rhythmic Gymnastics. Annick won medals at the Nationals, this will be her first World Games. In her spare time, Annick likes to draw, paint and run. She also volunteers at a cat rescue centre.
