How has Evan grown since participating in the Active Start and FUNdamentals program and what has been involved meant to Evan and your family?
Evans Special Olympics Journey started in 2018 at the age of 4&1/2 years old. We joined in hopes to get Evan moving more, since he was barely walking nor talking.
Over the years, Evan’s growth and goals have changed along the way, as well as many locations, leaders, volunteers and friends but one thing that hasn’t his love for ‘Special O’
We are soon finishing up our Fundamental years here at the Porters Lake location with Angie Faber and her team, still practicing our motor skills and learning new sports.
Evan now at the age of 12 years old, enjoys gymnastic ribbons, plasma cars, parachute, baseball and curling day!
We can’t Thank Special Olympics enough while we watch our athlete grow … we think everyone should try it out, either an athlete, a leader or a volunteer! Our experience has been life changing! We hold all our teammates, volunteers and leaders in our hearts forever.
