Draft an Athlete
Special Olympics World Summer Games — Santiago, Chile — October 16–24, 2027
Special Olympics Team Canada will be made up of athletes from all 12 provincial and territorial Chapters, who earned their spot competing at the Special Olympics Canada Summer Games in Medicine Hat, AB in 2026. The full team roster for the 2027 Special Olympics World Games Santiago will be announced in early 2027. Team Canada athletes will compete across athletics, basketball, bocce, swimming, rhythmic gymnastics, soccer, golf, and powerlifting.
They've spent months training for this — early mornings, hard practices, small breakthroughs that add up to something big. What they're chasing isn't just a personal best. It's a chance to stand with teammates from across the country and show the world what's possible. For many athletes and their families, a moment like this changes everything that comes after it.
You can be part of getting them there.
When you draft an athlete, you're not just helping to cover a cost — you're putting your name behind their journey to Chile. Draft one athlete, or several. Every Draft an Athlete contribution is also an investment in the daily community sports programs that shape athletes' lives here at home, long after the Games end.
$1,500 symbolically drafts one athlete and helps fund their path to the World Games.
All individuals, organizations, and companies who pre-draft athletes will be recognized at the LIMITLESS Gala, November 20, 2026, at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto.

Recognition on the Special Olympics Canada website
Updates on Team Canada's preparation and performance, before and during the Games
