Team PEI athletes have all made a commitment to their sport and to train under the guidance of a Provincial Team Coach or Training Coach. Athletes have committed to train a minimum of 3 times per week in their specified training sessions for their sport. This training is to ensure that all athletes are physically fit prior to the 2020 Special Olympics Canada Winter Games.

Kings County Performance Program
The performance program in partnership with TCAP will offer a wide range of fitness training for athletes in Kings County. There will be a number of different workouts throughout the program that will help you in your quest for success.
There is no cost to attend, however athletes must sign up prior to attending. To sign-up please call or email the Special Olympics PEI office.

Location: TCAP Fitness and Aquatics Centre, Montague
Synergy Performance Program
The performance program in partnership with Synergy is another fitness opportunity for athletes to work on skills like balance, strength, breathing, coordination, and more. The program is 1 hour in length and is setup in a circuit format. The fun and encouraging atmosphere is very welcoming to all ages and abilities. The workout structure stays consistent but will include some new and exciting stations each week.
There is no cost to attend, however athletes must sign up prior to attending and complete a waiver. To sign-up please call or email the Special Olympics PEI office.

Location: Synergy Fitness and Nutrition - 141 Mt. Edward Road
CrossFit 782 Performance Program
The performance program in partnership with CrossFit 782 is a strength and conditioning opportunity for athletes. CrossFit is constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. The program is 1 hour in length. Each week athletes review skills, learn new skills, and complete a circuit, all in a fun and supportive environment.
There is no cost to attend, however athletes are asked to sign up prior to attending due to space limitations. To sign-up please call or email the Special Olympics PEI office.
