How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?
Twenty-five years.
How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?
Since I joined Special Olympics, I’ve made friends and am not shy anymore, and I can do public speaking and write my own speeches.
What do you like most about the sport you will be competing in at Special Olympics World Summer Games Berlin 2023?
I like athletics because I enjoy running and getting fresh air outside. In winter I go to the gym and it is good exercise.
What is your proudest moment with Special Olympics?
Going to Japan in 2005 for my first World Winter Games for Nordic skiing.
What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?
It’s an honour to be on the Special Olympics Team Canada Training Squad. It is like family.
What is your goal for Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023?
My goal is to have fun and do my personal best win or lose
