How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?
I have been involved with Special Olympics since 2017.
How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?
Special Olympics has taught me the meaning of dedication. I have also become more confident to make things happen in my life by setting goals with my fitness, my eating habits as well as my socializing. Participating in Nationals 2018 at my home province was a highlight and big achievement for me.
What do you like most about the sport you will be competing in at Special Olympics World Summer Games Berlin 2023?
What I like most about swimming is pushing my body to its limits. I thrive to compete.
What is your proudest moment with Special Olympics?
One of my proudest moments is winning 9 gold medals in all my events at Provincials in 2019.
What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?
It means that I work hard. It means that I wake up with a goal and a purpose each day. It means that I can do anything if I don't give up.
What is your goal for Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023?
My goal is to test my skills in the pinnacle of achievement. The experience of being there means more to me than winning medals.
