How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?

For 20 years.

How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?

I have been more social, made lots of more friends, and have been all over the world.

What do you like most about the sport you will be competing in at Special Olympics World Summer Games Berlin 2023?

I love how it’s going to be an all-women’s team. It’s so cool!

What is your proudest moment with Special Olympics?

loved when our team Canada won the gold in China for soccer in 2007 and I was the only girl on the team and I really enjoyed going to Austria 2017 to run the torch all over Austria for the final leg.

What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?

It means I get to make a bunch of new friends I get to see the beautiful country of Germany. My grandma’s heritage is German, so it means the world to me that I get to go there.

What is your goal for Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023?

I want to score a goal. To dedicate that goal to my grandma as well as my grandpa but largely to my grandma as her heritage is German.
