Our Staff

 Executive Director

• Strategic Leadership: Leads implementation of the Board-approved Strategic Plan, translating organizational priorities into operational plans and measurable results.

• Organizational Oversight: Provides executive leadership for programs, services, staff, and operations to advance SOS’s mission.

• Official Spokesperson: Serves as the primary spokesperson for Special Olympics Saskatchewan, representing the organization with media, partners, and stakeholders.

• Communications & Public Relations: Holds final oversight and approval authority for organizational communications, marketing, and public relations.

• Resource Development: Leads fundraising and sponsorship strategy, builds partnerships, and secures resources to support long-term sustainability and growth.

Marketing and Development Coordinator

• Supports communications, marketing, and promotional activities.

• Supports grant applications, donor relations, and fundraising development.

• Prepares content and coordinates approved fundraising campaigns and special events under the supervision of the Director of Finance and Operations, with final communications approval resting with the Executive Director.

Youth and Health Coordinator

• Active Start & FUNdamentals: Coordinates youth programs that build movement skills, confidence, and a foundation for lifelong participation in sport.

• Special Olympics Sport Programs: Supports the delivery and growth of sport programs, athlete development, and competition opportunities across Saskatchewan.

• Healthy Athletes: Coordinates health education, wellness initiatives, and events that support athlete health and well-being.

Director of Finance and Operations

• Financial Management: Oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable, the general ledger, budgeting, and financial reporting.

• Office Operations & Administration: Leads the day-to-day operations and administration of the provincial office.

• Marketing & Development Oversight: Supervises the Marketing and Development Coordinator and oversees the planning and delivery of communications, marketing, fundraising development, and special events.

• Executive Support & Accountability: Provides operational and executive support to the Executive Director, who retains final communications approval and serves as SOS’s official spokesperson.

Director of Community, Programs and Operations

• Strategic Planning & Operational Oversight: Leads program planning and implementation, aligning priorities and resources with SOS’s strategic goals.

• Membership & Program Database: Oversees registration, data accuracy, and reporting to support effective program delivery and decision-making.

• Competition & Games: Leads the planning, coordination, and delivery of competitions and Games, including athlete and coach preparation.

• Sports & Programs: Oversees the development, delivery, and growth of quality sport programs across Saskatchewan, supporting athletes, coaches, volunteers, and communities.
