    Special Olympics Saskatchewan is celebrating 63 athletes from communities across the province who will represent Team Saskatchewan at the 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games, taking place August 11–16, 2026, in Medicine Hat, Alberta.

    The athletes were selected from provincial competitions and will compete in a range of summer sports at the national level. Their selection reflects dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence—both on and off the field.

    As part of their preparation, Team Saskatchewan athletes will come together for a training camp on June 5-7 in Regina, providing an opportunity to build skills, train alongside teammates, and deepen team connections ahead of the National Games. The camp will focus on sport‑specific development, personal best performances, and readiness for competition on the national stage.

    Special Olympics Saskatchewan supports athletes with intellectual disabilities from communities across the province through year‑round sport, training, and competition opportunities. Participation in the National Summer Games allows athletes to showcase their hard work, build confidence, form lasting friendships, and represent Saskatchewan with pride.

    The 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games bring together athletes from across the country every four years and represent the highest level of Special Olympics competition in Canada. Special Olympics Saskatchewan congratulates all Team Saskatchewan athletes on their achievement and thanks coaches, families, volunteers, and supporters for their dedication in helping athletes reach this milestone.
