 Victoria Sarty
Victoria is 23 years old and will be competing in Figure Skating. Thunder Bay will be her second Special Olympic National Winter games. She has also been to two Canada Winter Games and one Special Olympic National Summer games.
Victoria started skating when she was 4 years old and joined Special Olympics in 2003. She started with figure skating but soon added in many other sports to her activity list. Currently she participates in: figure skating, rhythmic gymnastics, swimming, softball, soccer, bocce ball and a Fitness training class through Special Olympics and is always eager to try other sports.
Victoria is learning a new program this year and is skating to music called “Born to Move” which truly is how she has lived her life. She loves being part of Special O, it gives her the opportunities to meet new friends, try new sports and compete. She is employed at Cosmo in the Supported Career Initiatives program and in her spare time loves to knit and watch movies. |
