Meet Team PEI 2026 Athletics
This August, Team PEI will be represented by 46 athletes and 25 coaches and mission staff at the 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Athletes will be competing in 8 sports - Athletics, Basketball, Bocce, Golf, Powerlifting, Soccer, Softball and Swimming. Team PEI 2026 Athletics is made up of 2 athletes, supported by 1 Head Coach.

Head Coach, Donna Campbell, who coaches both Athletics and Snowshoe in West Prince, has been a volunteer with Special Olympics PEI for over 20 years.
Jeremy Wall has been a Special Olympics athlete for 18 years. Jeremy first heard about Special Olympics from former Floor Hockey coach, Barry Murray, at the local coffee shop in Jeremy's hometown of Kensington.
Jeremy is no stranger to competition, having competed at 6 previous Special Olympics Canada Games, 1 Special Olympics World Games, and 1 Canada Games.
Jeremy and Keegan have been teammates many times previously. They have competing together at 3 past Special Olympics Canada Winter Games as members of Team PEI Floor Hockey. Additionally, both where members of Special Olympics Team Canada 2023, and competed at the World Winter Games in Berlin. Jeremy competed in the sport of Athletics, while Keegan was a member of the Men's Basketball team.
The Special Olympics Canada Summer Games 2026 will be Keegan's first Summer Games. Despite this, Keegan gained a wealth of experience last summer competing as a member of Team PEI 2025 at the Canada Games. Keegan set 2 PEI Provincial Records in Special Olympics divisions, competing in the 100m and 200m events.
