SOBC Athlete Reporters thank life-changing volunteers in National Volunteer Week

National Volunteer Week graphic saying We heart SOBC volunteers!

Special Olympics BC's dedicated and selfless volunteers empower athletes, make year-round programs possible, and open hearts and minds to the abilities of people with intellectual disabilities.

We are eternally grateful to all the volunteers who give so much to Special Olympics BC and make such a difference by weaving so many people together!

For National Volunteer Week, several of our amazing SOBC Athlete Reporters took the time to thank and celebrate SOBC volunteers!

🎤 SOBC – Creston’s Claire Lemaire:

“SOBC volunteers have helped me practice sports and stay connected with my friends. I feel good when I know I have a week full of sports and fun!”

🎤 SOBC – Dawson Creek’s David Johnston:

“I would like to thank SOBC volunteers for supporting us and cheering us on. When they take time out of their personal lives, they do it because they know how passionate we are and that the sports mean a lot to us.”

🎤 SOBC – Trail’s Jake Miller:

“Thank you to all of our coaches and everything you do!”

🎤 SOBC – Surrey’s Carmel Hashemi Dahaj:

“I would like to thank the SOBC volunteers for always being there for us!”
