HIGHLIGHTS

  • 19-year-old Regan Hofley made an impressive 1.57-metre high jump – a personal best – earning the gold medal in Pentathlon.
  • SO Team Canada bocce players won three games and tied one in the ladies singles event. Kerry Lane earned a bronze medal and Nikita a gold. 
  • SO Team Canada soccer players faced a tough loss against Team Portugal today 1-0 – with the winning goal scored in a penalty kick.

TODAY’S TOP MOMENT

British Columbia’s Sheryl Jakubowski raced the 5,000-metre in TK minutes, earning the gold medal in her division. When she finished her race, she said she hoped SO Team Canada Honorary Coach Marnie McBean would be proud of her achievement.

McBean was in Dubai today and awarded her the gold medal.
