Making a difference

Special Olympics is part of a dynamic worldwide charitable organization. We are dedicated to promoting a more active lifestyle resulting in a better quality life for people who have an intellectual disability. Special Olympics Saskatchewan strives to focus its resources on its athletes and programs. The money we raise goes directly into the development, promotion, and delivery of our grassroots programs which have the greatest impact on the lives of people with intellectual disabilities.

Special Olympics provides much more than an opportunity to compete in a sport. It provides a chance for Canadians with an intellectual disability to learn new skills while becoming active and engaged in their communities.

Team Saskatchewan athletes come from neighborhoods large and small throughout the Province. The members of Team Saskatchewan have qualified based on their results at the 2017 Special Olympics Provincial Summer Games. The Team Saskatchewan sponsorship program has been designed to involve organizations, individuals, and groups who wish to support the Special Olympics cause, along with their local athletes. Support athletes who have earned the right to attend National Games. Invest in the goal of awareness and greater opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities. Adopt a Special Olympics Saskatchewan athlete, and make a difference.

By committing $1500 to Team Saskatchewan and its athletes, you or your organization are providing a Special Olympics athlete the opportunity to experience the celebration and competition of National Games. You are creating a lifetime of memories for a Special Olympics athlete.
