How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?

I first joined 15 years ago.

How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?

I can enjoy my sports and I have also been able to be the Athlete Representative on the Special Olympics Canada Board for 6 years. I have be on the Athlete Leadership Committee for both Special Olympics Calgary and Special Olympics Alberta.

How have you been preparing yourself for competition?

I have been training 5 days a week because my goal is to be as fit and ready for the games as I can be.

What is the biggest challenge you have overcome in your life?

My biggest challenge I had to overcome was having brain surgery.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

I am most proud that I have another chance to go to World Games and represent my country again.

What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?

It means the world to me to be able to wear the maple leaf on my chest.
