I have been a Special Olympics athlete for over 40 years.

Why did you first get involved with Special Olympics and how has it changed your life?

I first got involved with Special Olympics for the love of the game and friends.

What other sports do you participate in?

I also participate in 5-Pin Bowling.

What has participating in Special Olympics taught you?

Special Olympics has taught me about making new friends.

What are you most looking forward to at the 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games?

I am most looking forward to making more friends and memories and just having fun.

What is your favourite Special Olympics moment?

My favorite Special Olympics moment was competing at the Special Olympics World Summer Games 2011 in Greece with Team PEI Canada.  

What does being a part of Team PEI 2026 mean to you?

Another time to do good.
