How many years have you been involved with Special Olympics?

I have been a Special Olympics athlete for 20 years.

Why did you first get involved with Special Olympics and how has it changed your life?

I have met lots of new friends and travelled all over Canada and the world with Special Olympics.

What is a challenge or barrier that you have overcome?

I was afraid to play sports and Special Olympics helped me come out of my shell.

What other sports do you participate in?

I also participate in Floor Hockey.

What has participating in Special Olympics taught you?

Participating in Special Olympics has taught me that win or lose, I am happy that I tried my best.

What are you most looking forward to at the 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games?

I am looking forward to representing PEI, trying my best, and traveling.

What is your favourite Special Olympics moment?

My favourite Special Olympics moment was being surprised by my older brother and father who went to Calgary to see me play floor hockey at the Special Olympics Canada Winter Games 2024.

What does being a part of Team PEI 2026 mean to you?

It makes me really happy and proud.
