How many years have you been involved with Special Olympics?

I have been an athlete with Special Olympics for 20 years!

Why did you first get involved with Special Olympics and how has it changed your life?

It was suggested to me by some other people that I knew at work because they thought it would good for me.

What is a challenge or barrier that you have overcome?

A barrier I have overcome is flying on planes without getting overwhelmed.

What other sports do you participate in?

I also participate in 5-Pin Bowling.

What has participating in Special Olympics taught you?

Participating in Special Olympics has taught me the value of making friends and being there for them when they need me the most.

What are you most looking forward to at the 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games?

I am most looking forward to the experience of all of it!

What is your favourite Special Olympics moment?

My favourite Special Olympics moments was wining my first medal at the Special Olympics Canada Summer Games in London, Ontario in 2010.

What does being a part of Team PEI 2026 mean to you?

It means making our small little province of PEI proud.
