How many years have you been involved with Special Olympics?

I have been involved with Special Olympics for 11 years.          

Why did you first get involved with Special Olympics and how has it changed your life?

I first got involved because of my love for sport and, before getting involved, had a 2 year old daughter who has an intellectual disability.

What are you most looking forward to at the 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games?

I am excited to see us represent all team sports at this competition. I look forward to working with incredible volunteers, staff, and athletes towards the Special Olympics Canada Summer Games that will no doubt provide lasting memories and new athlete accomplishments

What is your favourite Special Olympics moment?

Being involved in the 2018 National Bowling Championship LETR Torch Run with my daughter hosted here on PEI.

What does being a part of Team PEI 2026 mean to you?

I am very grateful to be involved and I do not take for granted the role I have on the team. It means so much to work together with others towards a goal and I am blessed beyond words to work with this group.
