How many years have you been involved with Special Olympics?

I have been a Special Olympics athlete for 4 years.

Why did you first get involved with Special Olympics and how has it changed your life?

I first got involved with Special Olympics because I wanted to be active and learn new sports. I wanted to make some new friends and meet new people.

What is a challenge or barrier that you have overcome?

I challenge I have overcome is learning to have patience.

What other sports do you participate in?

I also participate in Curling, Swimming and Golf.

What has participating in Special Olympics taught you?

Participating in Special Olympics has taught me Teamwork, sportsmanship, building confidence, and that hard work pays off.

What are you most looking forward to at the 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games?

I am most looking forward to meeting new people, making new friends, being able to travel and see new places, and represent PEI.

What is your favourite Special Olympics moment?

My favourite Special Olympics moment was winning my medals.

What does being a part of Team PEI 2026 mean to you?

It's changed my life by being more confident in myself, and in my skills. Meeting new people, having opportunities I didn't have before. I made new friends. I get to represent my province.
