How many years have you been involved with Special Olympics?
I have been a Special Olympics athlete for 14 years.
Why did you first get involved with Special Olympics and how has it changed your life?
I first got involved with Special Olympics in 2011 playing Softball. Special Olympics has changed my life. It has made me more comfortable about myself and meeting new friends along the way.
What is a challenge or barrier that you have overcome?
I have had a knee problem for many years. I do not let it affect my active lifestyle, though sometimes it pushes my limits.
What other sports do you participate in?
I also participate in 5-Pin Bowling, Swimming, Floor Hockey, and Softball.
What has participating in Special Olympics taught you?
Special Olympics has taught me new skills and how to push my boundaries.
What are you most looking forward to at the 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games?
I am most looking forward to getting the experience to travel and meeting new people from other provinces.
What is your favourite Special Olympics moment?
My favorite Special Olympics moment was getting a gold medal in Floor Hockey.
What does being a part of Team PEI 2026 mean to you?
I am grateful to be apart of an important team and am excited to prove myself to my teammates and coaches.
