How many years have you been involved with Special Olympics?

I have been a Special Olympics athlete for 17 years.

Why did you first get involved with Special Olympics and how has it changed your life?

My friend Shawn asked me to join. It changed my life because I met new friends.. 

What is a challenge or barrier that you have overcome?

A challenge I have overcome is flying on planes.

What other sports do you participate in?

I also participate in Floor Hockey.

What has participating in Special Olympics taught you?

Participating in Special Olympics has taught me how to be more respectful to other athletes and it's not all about winning, it's about doing your best.

What are you most looking forward to at the 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games?

I am most looking forward to doing my best, and hopefully winning a medal!

What is your favourite Special Olympics moment?

My favourite Special Olympics moment was scoring in overtime for Bronze at the Special Olympics Canada Winter Games 2012 at my first Floor Hockey Nationals.

What does being a part of Team PEI 2026 mean to you?

Seeing old friends and making new friends.
