How many years have you been involved with Special Olympics?

I have been involved with Special Olympics for 17 years.  

Why did you first get involved with Special Olympics and how has it changed your life?

Special Olympics has allowed me to make a positive difference in the lives of others!

What are you most looking forward to at the 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games?

I am most looking forward to seeing the excitement and joy on the athletes’ faces!

What is your favourite Special Olympics moment?

My favorite moment was the first-time experience of being a Team PEI 5 Pin Bowling Coach with Dave Morrow at the Special Olympics Canada Winter Games in Thunder Bay in 2020. Seeing Island athletes competing at their best and witnessing the positive interactions among all who attended.

What does being a part of Team PEI 2026 mean to you?

I am so honoured to be selected as Mission Staff for Team PEI at the Special Olympics Canada Summer Games.
