How many years have you been involved with Special Olympics?

I have been a Special Olympics athlete for 11 years.   

Why did you first get involved with Special Olympics and how has it changed your life?

I first got involved with Special Olympics make new friends and enjoy every sport that I play!

What is a challenge or barrier that you have overcome?

I have overcome my shyness and have gained self confidence.

What other sports do you participate in?

I also participate in Floor Hockey and Floorball.   

What has participating in Special Olympics taught you?

I learned to communicate better and socialize.

What are you most looking forward to at the 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games?

I am looking forward to trying my best and making new friends.

What is your favourite Special Olympics moment?

My favourite Special Olympics moment winning gold in Floor Hockey at the Special Olympics Canada Winter Games 2026 in Cornerbrook, NL, my first ever national games.

What does being a part of Team PEI 2026 mean to you?

I am honoured to be in this group with really good friends.
